Crack A Crab Leg

Peeling a crab can be frustrating if you are not cracking in the right place, that is. When looking at a crab leg, instead of cracking it at the bend, crack near the center of the leg’s thicker part.

When the piece cracks, separate the shorter section away and pull the inside of the crab leg straight out.

Jarring Onion Peel

Onions have layers, but you don’t feel like peeling them. Simply place the onion on a flat surface and using a mason jar, press firmly on top of it.

The pressure of the jar will crack the onion, separating it. Once sufficiently separated, set the jar down and move the crushed pieces right into the jar.

Top it with a lid and shake steadily for about 30 seconds. The onion peels come right off the insides, so as as you deposit the contents of the jar on the table, cleanly peeled pieces will sit among the separated pieces of skin.
