19-Scrub the skin
Sometimes the skin is what needs to be cleaned more than anything else! To remove toxins from apples, pears, and other fruits with a smooth surface, simply use a brush or sponge and start scrubbing. You can also add some baking soda and mix both ingredients to make this process even easier.
20-Keep it simple
If you want to avoid using complicated recipes for cleaning fruit and vegetables, you should just wash them with plain water. This method might not be as effective as others, but it’s healthier since no chemicals are involved. Make sure to rinse the product thoroughly after washing it with water to remove any traces of detergent.
21-Don’t soak produce for too long
Leaving fruits and veggies in water for too long can increase the presence of harmful chemicals since minerals from the water are absorbed by their skin.
The proper way to prevent this is to allow your produce to soak for about five minutes maximum, so be sure to always check upon them.
