10-Use a salad spinner
A salad spinner is a great tool for getting rid of excess water from your fruits and vegetables. After washing them, spin them in the spinner to remove all the liquid and improve their shelf life.
11-Wash your hands thoroughly
Make sure to always wash your hands with soap before handling fruit and vegetables. You risk getting sick if you don’t do so since harmful bacteria can be transferred from your skin to these foods very easily.
12-Clean your vegetables and fruits as soon as you can
The longer you wait to wash your produce, the more chemicals will be present on their surface. If you don’t have enough time to clean them before storing them in the fridge, remove all damaged parts first.
You should also clean unwashed produce before using it instead of washing it beforehand because this might not be as effective, and some nutrients might be lost during storage.
