5-Decorative Watermelon Bakset
Taking an entire watermelon, slice off almost a quarter from both sides of the same half, leaving about a 2-inch wide piece in the middle of the half.
The watermelon’s bottom half should remain intact, with only a small slice-looking portion of the top half left over. Then carefully cut just on the inside of this slice’s remaining skin and along the bottom, removing that piece as well.
The watermelon should now be roughly in the form of a carrying basket now. Scoop out most of the inner contents, leaving just a bit of red for the visual effect at the bottom. Move around the circumference of the basket, slicing small triangle shapes, almost like with the shark teeth in the earlier project.
The result will be a decorative watermelon basket. Feel free to load it with whatever you wish. We recommend using it for other fruits. Talk about meta!
