12 Amazing & Simple Watermelon Hacks !

10-Watermelon Ball Server Shark Head

Everyone can use a serving bowl for social gatherings, but what’s even more original is a serving bowl made from the thing being served in it.

Mind blown yet? Start by taking a whole watermelon, and slicing roughly a quarter chunk from it.

Set that chunk aside, and with a ball scooper, scoop a whole bunch of internal contents of the watermelon out into a separate holding place until there is a significant open (hollow) area on the inside. That internal content removed should allow for only thin skiing later to stay.

Stick a sharp knife just under the green skin and slice the fine edge off to reveal the yellowish part underneath. Once this layer has been exposed, carefully slide the perimeter of it so as to only retain vertically pointed triangle shapes. In the end, the watermelon should resemble an open mouth with a bottom jawline of teeth. Now pour the watermelon balls you scooped before into the now empty space inside the watermelon. Walla! Serving bowl!

But why stop there when there is more creativity to squeeze out of this project. Remember that quarter chuck you set aside? Lay it down and slice about a quarter to a third of it off. Carefully cut away the internal red portion until you have something that is just the green skin that is in fin-like shape.

Using a serving toothpick, penetrate that piece of skin and once a couple of inches protrude on the perforated side, snap the rest of the toothpick away. Plant the remaining sharp end into the back of the shark head bowl. This will both act as a fin and as a stationary device. Add a stick-on circle and paint a black or blue dot on it if you’d like to resemble the creature’s eyeball as a finishing touch.
